Abstract by Cecil Humphery-Smith - 01 Jan 2004
The tomb of Lewis de Robessart forms part of a screen to St Paul's chapel on the North aisle of Westminster Abbey. The author has attempted to reconstruct the heraldic display. The resulting panoply illustrates the wide-ranging intermarriages between the free-booting Hainaulter families and the Houses of Lancaster and their incursions into the Iberian peninsula.
