Margaret Vernon (sister and heir of Sir Ralph de Vernon of Cheshire) was married to a different Sir Hamon Lestrange who did not die until between 1346 and 1355. The latter was the knight of Cheswardine and Betton, and a second cousin of Sir Hamon of Hunstanton. The latter's wife Margaret was probably of Norfolk origin.
