Georg Rüxner wrote a number of genealogical works in the early 16th century. His Thurnierbuch ("tournament book") published in 1530 was very successful and gives lists of names of people who participated in various tournaments in the Holy Roman Empire, between 938 and 1487 AD. Although Rüxner listed a total of 36 tournaments, it is generally accepted that the first 14 were unhistorical invention. The 15th century events are probably mostly accurate.
